Steve Jobs just announced today that the company will issue a free case to every iPhone 4 customer. If you've already purchased a bumper case for your iPhone 4, you are entitled to a refund.

[tuaw.com...]

One of Jobs' talking points was that all smart phones have the antenna problem and showed slides taken from tests to prove his point. A lot of the attendees were thinking that a lot of his talk was a bit condescending. But that's Steve.

Apple says that by then end of next week they will post links for everyone that owns a phone to get their choice of covers that will eliminate the problem....

Sure they do... if you wrap your hand around the bottom of them. (as opposed to touching one spot with a finger)

Also... other phones don't lose up to 25 dBs when they do lose strength. (it's an exponential formula so the 10-15 dB difference then with other phones is huge.)

In answer to a question about Jobs' health, Steve explained that he felt better when he was on vacation last week, in Hawaii.

What, he actually took a vacation during a crisis like this?

Well, I guess he got his life back. ;)

Thats a very creative way to turn the media tide.

Regarding the song. At the part where he sings "the media love a failure" sounded very much like John Lennon...

The problem I see with offering free covers to all customers is it will potential fuel the fire with the law suits...
