iPhone 4 arrives on June 24, and you can pre-order or reserve yours on June 15. More details available here [apple.com...]

These are some highlights from the Steve Jobs Worship Service, I mean the WWDC:

[engadget.com...]

No Verizon IPhone.

Demos crashing. Listeners quick to blame AT&T, but they were on Wifi. Jobs asked everyone to turn off their wifi.

Pushing IMovie and video conferencing. AT&T was smart to scrap their unlimited data plans preemptively.

Display the same size, but "retina" display has 326dpi -> 960x640.

AT&T probably won't make a big deal about this, but all people currently on an unlimited plan can keep their unlimited plans going forward (provided they don't ever change any of the details of their current plan).

I do believe getting an IPhone 4G will count as a change, though upgrading your phone to IOs 4 may not.

I seriously want this new iPhone to replace my 3G. I guess we'll see what it will cost since I still have a year left on my cell plan...

I have iPhone 3GS the only main difference I found in iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS is the front camera and camera is now 5 mega pixel. Thats it. Rest OS 4 is common in both phones.

You will notice on apple site they are not taking online iPhone 3GS orders anymore.

Here's the original Apple announcement:
Apple Presents iPhone 4 [apple.com]

All-New Design with FaceTime Video Calling, Retina Display, 5 Megapixel Camera & HD Video Recording

Thinnest Smartphone Ever

I wonder if SoftBank in Japan will be offering similar pricing. This was my favorite part of the announcement:
iPhone 4 will be available in the US, France, Germany, Japan and the UK on June 24 and customers can pre-order their iPhone 4 beginning Tuesday, June 15 from the Apple Online Store or reserve an iPhone 4 to pick up at an Apple Retail Store.

You may be able to now, Apple bumped up the upgrade date so people could get the phone now( and sign a new contract of course).
