Google's Android director has confirmed that Android 2.2, the forthcoming version of the company's operating system for smartphones, tablets and netbooks, will support Adobe's Flash technology at launch.

I just updated my HTC Hero which says it's "Android 2.1" but browser has a Flash option and Flash does indeed run.

Just don't get high hopes about Flash overkill pages like Hulu, don't know if it was my connection, download speed or what, but it was barely hobbling along.

webOS has been supporting Flash since 1.4 released way back in February. We're just waiting for Adobe to get its act together...
