Anyone have experience? Could you point me in the right direction?

A client wants to send SMS messages in the US through the proprietary web app I've developed for them. I've noticed a number of solutions on the web. I'm starting by testing Upside Wireless.
Does anyone have any experience in this area? I want to make sure I'm starting in the right direction.
