Interesting facts if you ask me, since this shows a little bit how popular mobile phones is, and how many units there will be, of course this is just estimates, but still this shows some of the future and why we will integrate more of the PDA in to mobile phones.
I think companies will focus more on the mobile phone side and integrating the PDA with the mobile phone, since the mobile phone is already in every mans/woman’s pocket, therefore they won’t have to market the PDA, and they save money. But this is just MHO.
You sometimes have to do a reality check. Like when Wilt Chamberlain said that he'd slept with 20,000 women. I did the math and came up with 3 different women a day since he was 12 years old. The math doesn't work.

If one fifth of the world has a mobile, then sounds like micropayments could be easy through a mobile phone! I wouldnt mind hearing on that.
I think the number for the UK is 2/3 people have a mobile, so I think the billion number pans out OK when considering wealth/population of the rest of the world
I dont think it will take into account the tremendous rate that mobile phones are being stolen at or the ones that have been lost. (Out of one billion supposed users, how many would get lost/stolen each day?)
I just wonder how important the mobile phone market will be in regards to the online medium
