PayPal, the online-payment company owned by eBay Inc., said Friday that it plans to launch a new service this year designed to make it easier to pay for items using cell phones and other mobile devices.... She (PayPal spokeswoman Amanda Pires) said the company is working on a modified version designed specifically for the scaled-down versions of Web sites that appear on tiny cell-phone displays.
