From: [news.bbc.co.uk...]

The first virus to attack handheld computers running Microsoft's Windows Pocket PC software has been found.

Interting that Pocket PCs are the latest target... Although the article does quote a representative of Sophos as saying:

"You're more likely to have a meteorite strike your house than be hit by this virus,"

If I'm understanding this properly ..propagation via bluetooth should also mean that eventually all blue tooth devices such as next gen fridges etc are potential targets / vectors as the "accept or not" routines are unsecured ....

so whilst it or others using the same methods may be very very rare for now in the wild ..it could be all over geektoys near you soon ...

Nice to see virii scriptors giving the "heads up" ...

A virus for a fridge... If only my grandpa could hear THAT!

I can imagine it now... The virus makes the fridge start spitting out ice, raises the tempurature to 75, and starts spraying water everywhere.

Haha... hope apple decides to write the fridge software... seems like Macs never get sick.
