I own my IPAQ now for a year or so. Before that I used a Psion 3C. Although the IPAQ is more user friendly, has a color display and has better connectivity with wireless and USB communications, I find myself still doing the same I already used the Psion for. I.e. writing small documents, contact management, diary, etc. Occasionaly I use the internet browser and a SSH client for internet connectivity, but for most tasks the screen is just to small and I switch back to my laptop fairly quickly in most cases.

The only thing I can't do with the Psion and which I really like on the IPAQ is the English-Russian translation software I've installed. It gives me the possibility when I am traveling to make things clear to people in situations where my knowledge of Russian is not sufficient yet.

But despite of this, I still find that I am not using my PDA as I could. So my question to you is, "What killer application made your PDA your friend which you can't live without anymore?"

TCPMP, a freeware media player. Watching a divx when I travel is just great :)

Good idea. I haven't thought of watching videos on my PDA. Afterall its a model with 4" VGA, so it should give reasonable quality. I will give it a try.

In combination, you have a nice freeware called PocketDiVXEncoder, that encodes quickly and easily video for your PDA at the right resolution.
PocketDiVXEncoder [divx.ppccool.com]
a divx creation tutorial [pdalooks.com]
Another great freeware, to organize and view pictures on your PDA: XNView Pocket [pocketpcfreewares.com].
I also use a task managment software, Magic Button [trancreative.com]. It adds icons on the titlebar for quick launching and has some useful features like really closing applications :)
