Handspring launches new G3 phone/pda

The upcomming Handspring Treo 270 will be launched as an 3G phone
They said nothing about it in the press release [handspring.modusmedia.nl] But they will launch it as an 3G phone.
It will not be launched in Europe though.

Hmm... If I didn't have such a major mental block against cell phones (how "connected" does one person need to be, sitting in their car? Or a restaurant? Or a theater? Hrmph!), I'd really want a Treo.

Of course, I haven't the foggiest idea about the different cell phone protocols, networks, etc., so I wouldn't even know which one to buy...

I was hoping it was a really super-old article about the first "car phones" back when they were gigantic things with over-the-shoulder battery bags, and were called car phones because they were too darn heavy to be called "portable."
