PDA won't keep the right time

HP 4155 always an hour ahead now...

Hello-
I have an HP 4155 and since the daylight savings switch (US) it won't keep the right time! It's always an hour ahead. It doesn't matter how many times I tell it that I'm in CDT (UTC -6) it ALWAYS goes back to the non-daylight savings time after a while. I can't find a setting that tells it we are in daylight savings time to fix it. HELP!

Are you using "-6 Central US" as your timezone? FYI: The "Central America" timezone won't recognize DST. You have to use "Central US".

Yes, I've tried a hard and a soft reset. No resolution.

Sounds like it's gonna be a question for HP tech support huh?

They're absolutely useless, Mike. Try this:

Go into settings, and change your timezone to the visiting timezone. Set it to EST or something. Apply the changes... and everything should change time (including your appointments).

Then, go back, and change to your home time (CDT). Let me know if that works.

I had a similar problem once, and remember fixing it this way.

Ok, did that, changed it back, and upon sync it went right back to an hour ahead. Could my computer be sending it the wrong time somehow? I didn't think it should be doing that at all!

PS..

Jake.. notice that odd post my Mark_A is gone? What's up with that? As are our posts replying to him, but our post count stayed the same. Weird.

Ok... it was set to central US, but the little check mark for adjusting the clock for DST wasn't checked. I checked it, it moved my computer's time an hour ahead, I corrected that, and now it seems like it's going to stick. I won't be convinced that it's going to stay until at least one day passes w/o change.

***Update***

Thanks to your help my PDA has maintained the correct time! No more screwed up appointments!

It's amazing what one little check box can do!
