I was around a friends house last night. Her husband is in hospital and it is going to be very long term. She has purchased him a PDA so that people can easily communicate with him. However, we have a problem which I have narrowed down to (I think) Outlook XP.
We have ActiveSync 3.7 installed happily. The PDA and computer can read eachothers drives (therefore the connection is fine) and ActiveSync will synchronize any non-outlook files (therefore the synchronization is fine). However, whenever Outlook files (inbox, tasks, calendar and contact) are added to the synchroziation list we get two error messages for each file.

No profiles have been created. To create a new profile, use the Mail icon in the Control Panel
Two

Synchronization cannot be completed because your personal information manager (PIM) program cannot be accessed.
The profiles are fine. Outlook works perfectly and I have even recreated the profiles to no avail. Has anyone come across this before? I have search the web with no luck and as they're both Microsoft products, you can't expect support from the manufacturer (LOL!).
Any help is greatly appreciated
