Experience of the Dell X5?

Thinking of buying a Dell x5 (Haven't decided if i will go for the basic or advanced yet) anyone have any experience with it, not really a big fan of PDA's (*ducks*) they are quite large, and i know this one is even larger, and i have access to a computer 24/7 used to have a Palm 505, but am not a big fan of Palm OS, so why should i buy a PDA, don't really know, just so if i see a pretty girl on the town i can transfer my number to her (Remember the palm commercial?) but i can do that with my mobilephone too, so it's just a gadget thing really.
so anyone if you have one please fill me in.

I don't have any first-hand experience in owning one of these machines, but I do tech support for a few 'smilies' (sales reps) that use these models. They're kinda bulky in size (the PDA's, not the sales reps ;) but, from what I gather, they seem to do the job pretty well (again, the PDA's). The only problem I've experienced from a tech support role has been with Outlook 2000 and synchronising data. But I suspect that the problems we've experienced was more a conflict with existing 3rd party software than the machine and it's OS itself. It seems to be reasonably equipped, and cheap. Buyer beware tho'.

But then again, your reasons for buying one suggest that it doesn't really matter... ;)
