On one hand you have the CLIÉ running the Palm OS, the other you have the iPaq running a Windows varrient.
Both are color. The CLIÉ has more available applications because the PALM OS has existed longer.
Are you to give up all these useful apps to have a handheld that can run IE in little people mode?
When I was making the decision of which one to buy the whole 'I can use IE and windows media on it' phased away because im not going to lug around the modem/wireless kit with it, why not just buy a Sony Laptop. So I wasn't actually ever going to use it. Away from all the glamour I had to compare the two.
The CLIÉ is smaller in size and works with the hand a lot better. heh i dropped the iPaq on the floor 2x :)~ it still worked though ~!
I bought the Sony, I love the Jog Dial, I have the headphones and they gave me 128 meg stick free by rebate.
>little people mode?
lol.
I agree completly EliteWeb. I've been researching PDA's for quite awhile. The info that is on the net is either minutia about the perty case colors, or something really lame about the software.
What I want to know, is what are the limits of WinCE? What will it and won't it run?
>CLIÉ
I really hadn't considered a Sony to tell the truth. For me, the question is between a low rent job like a entry Palm, or going for gold between the Jornada or iPaq (once and HP guy, always an hp guy)
>why not just buy a Sony Laptop.
Ditto for serious stuff. When you consider you can buy a pretty decent used laptop for the price of a mid-top end PDA, it reall gets questionable.
