hi-

i have had several people recommend 'danny goodmans javascript bible' as a good source for learning javascript. the latest edition i could find, 4, was printed in 2001. actually, alot of books i've seen were printed 2-3 years ago. could this book be outdated or has not much in the javascript world changed in two years? does anyone have other book recommendations that may be better or more current?

thank you

It could be slightly outdated, but it will probably still tell you almost everything you need to know. This forum can likely make up the difference.

The only JavaScript reference I own is "Dynamic HTML: The Definitive Reference" by Mr. Goodman. It has a copyright date of 1998, but you can still walk into my office at least once a week and find me coding with it open in my lap. If the JavaScript book matches this one's quality, I'd say it's a good investment, even if it's a little dated.
