Hello all,

I am rather new to web designing, I'm just trying to get started and learn all the how-to's about this fun internet world. While searching on Google.com about places to help me learn Web Design, I found this place and have already learned a great deal. Although the question I seek isn't anywhere to be found, so I thought I'd go ahead and start a new thread.

See, I am trying to create a networking area on my site where people can go and list their interests, beliefs, by location and such. This is a religious website that's goal is to unite people together, to help find others with similar beliefs that are relatively close to one another. But I am not sure where to start with this. It has always been a dream of doing, but I'm not sure what I am needing to do. Can someone give me some advice, book suggestions or website suggestions? Perhaps any program suggestions?

I'm hopelessly lost. Thanks for any help you can provide.

BTW, it's awesome to find such a place. Thanks to whomever created this site, you're a true blessing!

hi there,

you can use a script like "profile manager". try a search at google - keep the quotes.

if you are new to development and are unfamiliar with scripting, you can search for a script where the author will install it for you for a fee, of course.

try cgi.resourceindex.com or php.resourceindex.com and search for content management systems.
