Hi, i'm new to web development and I'm trying to complete a college assignment but stuck on just 1 thing. I have made a form, and I just want a little batch of data such as an email address and comment to be sent to my email address but have no clue on what to do.
I am using Windows XP Pro with ISS 5.0 install: HTTP, FTP and SMTP servers. I am also on a dynamic IP.
I've seen some site's using that cgi-bin directory with them asp scripts but don't know how to use them.
Can someone help me please and show me the steps.
Thank you

Welcome to webmasterworld

You'll need a type of serverside language to handle this. Do you know what you have on your server? PHP, ASP, Perl?

I've just installed IIS and messed around with the properties to familiarised myself with it. Well I have a php server installed but can I avoid using that?
