How do I change from frames to no frames

I am very new to this, but I am catching on pretty quick. I have tool that checks my website for optimization. The very first suggestion it makes is "I have frames" and "frames is a no go for search engines" also "get rid of frames" Okay I will do that.
Can anyone tell me how?
I built this site through Network Solutions with their templates and well you know building blocks. And I am not completely satisfied with their way of doing business so far.
So my next question is;
How do I get rid of the frames there and if I can't can I take what I do have to someplace else without having to start all over?
Thanks for the help I need it
Sandy

Hi Sandy,

I am not sure of the process used over at Network Solutions, but I think some knowledge of HTML is in order to convert out of frames. You can try experimenting by cutting and pasting the code of each frame into a new page using a WYSIWYG editor (like FrontPage or Dreamweaver) and trying to organize it back into a desireable format. Either way you go, I think you may be in for a bit of work unless someone has some sort of automatic system that has worked for them.

Each page that shows up in a frame is a separate html page. You need to create a template with the look you want, with the navigation that you want. Like, links to all your other pages down the left side (standard). Then take each of your pages and cut and paste the content into a copy of your template. Make sure that your links to each page are correct.
Upload all the pages and the images into the same folder and it should work.

luck,
