I hope some experts can give me an answer on this.

I download a web design template for free, the package comes with an edittable photoshop *.psd file, one index.html and other images files.

Under the image folder, there are lots of jpg files that are used as buttons, logos, etc that I have to redesign to fit to my website theme.

Is there a quick way I can generate these gif files from the psd file? or do I have to redesige the graphics myself? I don't know photoshop that much so it will be harder for me to pick the right color and make the whole picture smoothly.

Huge thanks.

You can do it two ways:

1. You can make the changes to the PSD file in which case you have 'slice' the file again. The slices may come predefined or you may have to define them again.. depending on the template.

Once you have defined the slices, you can use File->Save for Web function in Photoshop 7 to generate an HTML file that looks exactly like the image, but with table cells representing each slice.

2. You can take the generated gifs and edit them, this can be just as tedious because it's a lot tougher editing these 'flat' images.

At least, that's what I would do, someone may have other suggestions.
