Been 4 months and my site does not show up

I know this has been discussed in detail. But some discussions seem to contradict what results I am seeing. My site is <snip>.

My main page uses ALT tags and META tags. If I search for <my keywords> I am no where to be found, yet it's the main text on my home page (in my alt tag). If I search "<my keyphrase>", I am the only one found.

This is what searchers would type in, so I am not trying to do anything special. I just need some help in figuring out what I need to do on my site. Any suggestions? Feel free to look at the main page and provide any comments.

I added my site to DMOZ 4 months ago and to other search engines. Can someone look at my page and let me know why I am not showing up anywhere. I have read so many SEO articles that my brain is fried. So many contradictions, I just want an idea on why some people say their sites show in 5 days, and mine won't show and it's been 4 months.

Thanks!

You might want to remove your url and rephrase the question so that you are not asking for a site review!

Besides Dmoz have you submitted to other sites?

Do you know whether you have back links?

Here's a quick checklist.

Ensure your website is oven ready, all links work, body copy is keyword weighted correctly, title and description is good.

Try a different route into Dmoz, go geographically instead of business description for example ... its worth a shot! just submit your index page.

Submit to Google etc and as many free submission SE's as you can. Keep it simplem just your index page.

Sorry I can't look at your site as such .. its against the TOC here.

I don't mind if someone wants to look at the homepage and give me a suggestion. This is not a REVIEW MY SITE post. Just someone needing help

I've read some articles about having someone with a good PR link to your site. But, with them being competitors, why would they put a link on their site to me? Doesn't make sense.

Its your choice, there are plenty of con conflicting sites which can enhance yours - drop them a polite email and ask if they would exchange links.

Back links can improve your PR.

Getting indexed is more important :)

Links can get you indexed quicker too!
