I m very confused regarding templates.
What exactly it is?
Is it only html coding which we use for designing websites?
or something more?
i have used FastTemplates in PHP. But they are all based on PHP language.
what about other templates?
If i want to design templates
can i use frontpage for this?

template: A document or file having a preset format, used as a starting point for a particular application so that the format does not have to be recreated each time it is used
So really the template is only the design that you are going to use for the site. How you implement it is a totally different issue.
It could simply be a photoshop doc that has the layout or a simple html file with images.
If you are asking about implementing them using frontpage I believe it has some capability for that but not really sure.
