In-Line Frames

Are in-line frames better than frames for SEO

This maybe a real Noddy question, but I know Frames make search engine optimisation more difficult.

Do in-line frames help? Are they suitable for today's SEO algorithms?

Any type of frame - is a break in the way 99.9% of the web works, so it is a jarring thing for the user to come across this 'different type of interface'.

So I would recommend no frames at all, and just regular HTML pages. You can get the same 'effect' as iframes or even frames with straigh HTML pages - and a bit of server side scripting to pull in off site / off page content from a db or what not as needed.
