Hello.
In past, this used to work. I upload a file via FTP, and friend can download it from browser. (Too big for email).
Settings are ok, file is downladable by FTP.
Html file index.html is visible, so domain and hosting are OK.
Address is as simple as
domain.com/m.zip (that excludes typo).
Checked with other browser.
(By the way, there is one subfolder, empty, and it is invisible also)
Hotlinking is allowed. Listing empty directories allowed.

What can be the issue, please?
Thank You

Checked with other browser.
What other browser? Yours, theirs? What happens when your friend types the URL? What happens when you type it?

This really sounds more like a browser-settings issue than a server issue. A quick look at my current browser's current settings tells me the default is to save .zip files, but who knows what other browsers do.

Checked with random browsers on my PC.
Happens this:
" Sorry, this page doesn't exist.
Please check the URL or go back a page.
404 Error. Page Not Found. "

SOLVED-ish
That surely was wrong FTP "place", because there is no index.html file in the root, but it is visible online :)
Now I know where to continue looking for the right one.

@meagain21 ... Welcome to Webmasterworld.

I, too, offer such amenities to a few, but never as FTP and ALWAYS provide a direct link to the intended recipient in a location that is not visible to any robots.

Might want to rethink your accessibility for others for special downloads!

If nothing else, put it in a password protected folder if you are going to do FTP!
