Hello All,

I have ''popular images'' bar,
bellow any image is description,
I make css limit for each description,
After 30 letters css will break txt and show ''...''
But in source code is full text,
My question is, this method will affect good or bad or not affect on page rank ?

Thanks.

Welcome,

It won't have any effect on Pagerank [en.wikipedia.org] and it seems like sensible use of CSS, providing you're not hiding huge chunks of text.

In my opinion
- Truncating a few characters or sentence to line things up nicely, is OK
- Using a CSS trick to hide paragraphs of texts would not be OK.

If there is any way for user to view the complete description (e.g. on hover or on click), then it should be ok regardless of the length.

when users click on image then they see full text but on home page not just 2 row of text, in source code is full text and this is why i scare of google penalty
