What does crawler.googlebot want with me

Because I still haven't seen the changes on google

Hello everyone
Remember I mentioned in one of my previous posts that my site was listed on google but I was getting a file not found message because I renamed most of my pages.
well since then I have resubmitted my site reflecting the changes and over the past six weeks or so I have noticed that a crawler11.googlebot.com or crawler12 etc. have been on my site and on several occasions as well, however it doesn't appear to have re-indexed my pages because the same old pages come up when i do a search on google.

why is that/how long does it take?

This might sound pretty basic but this forum is for new to web development and I am translating it literally.

If you have made changes in the past month after the last Google update then you will have to wait for the begining of next month for the next update, the new pages should then show in the Google cache.
