My question is on internal link anchor text. From an SEO perspective, if a site has multiple links pointing to the same page - should the anchor text for the links vary?
Example: Let's say I have an article page title "Guide on how to build a widget" - and there is already a link to this page where the anchor text is same as the title. If I also link to this same article page from another point in the website - should I then use a different anchor text...like "Learn how to create a widget"?
I've read conflicting things on this issue. Some say if you use the same anchor text it can look spammy.
Thanks for any advice
Google bot scans the links from top to bottom so it will be good to have a better anchor text on the top links of the page and not just "Home".
