I've created an FAQ type page - with anchor tags to zoom down to the relevant section from questions at the top.

It works fine in IE.
It's not working on my friend's Mac in both firefox and safari.

Any idea why it won't work in the other browsers?
Must be something simple....

Thanks

Be sure you're using <a name="anchor"> and not <a name="#anchor">. The "#" is part of the link to an anchor, telling the browser "the target for this link is on this same page," and is not part of the anchor's name itself.

Bingo!
I was doing just that... tut tut.
I'm sure that will fix it, will upload it tomorrow and test.

THANK YOU!

oh dear.

Sadly, that's not fixed it.

I'm guessing that the other browsers don't like any other code between the <a> tags?
I have <span> font type tags in there.

could that be it?

remove the span tag, most of the browsers not detecting span setting... or you can also check your CSS, you can also draw a link or ahref by using CSS... CSS is nowadays is a best tool while site compatibility, and this includes fonts, anchors, headings, etc.
