I am a member of a forum where we would like to make a list that several different members can edit. I am thinking of something like wikipedia, where one person works like an editor and everyone submits changes that are then approved and "published" by the editor (at least I assume thats what is happening on wiki). I am not one of the priveledged few who have access to the management of the forum, so i do not know if there are tools that allow anyone to modify a post or not, but I think we would want only a select few to be able to.

IDeally, it should be like a spreadsheet or table with 3 columns, that rows can be added to indefinitely, but a simple list would work.

Am I way off base? Where do i look to find info on how to do this?

What you want is a content management system, and there are plenty of threads here and elsewhere that discuss different products; joomla or typo3, for example(s). Good luck!

You should just be able to set these people as moderators, with control to edit posts in any forum (or a specific one.)
