Does anyone know how to set this up for free? I've seen several pieces of software but they all have to be paid for so was just wondering if there is any way I can set this up for free?

You could write it yourself then it will only cost you your time.

You could also just manage it manually using something like PayPal (rather like WebmasterWorld does), and build the automated version later when you have some money coming in to pay for it.

There is a free script you can download and then manage the subscriptions with paypal. I am very new here and to forums in general so I don't want to give out the name if that sort of thing isn't allowed.

I am using the AEC subsicription component with joomla for the last month with good results so far... was able to set it up myself (i am not a programmer but am joomla savvy). I am using it with Paypal as the payment processor. I was surprised at how many functions it had. good luck!
