cache pages

Seems it is happening again. I am using my FTP client to save new web pages and even though I have tried shift and refresh or Crtl/refresh the old web pages are still showing on my pc - and yet other people can see the newly updated pages. I have deleted files, regularly clear cookies and done everything that has been suggested to me. This is driving me crazy. Yet, I use another FTP for a different website and I do not have a problem with this one. Please don't suggest moving to the latter FTP. The main website has a .org domain name and all tied up through the usa and paid for by the person I run the website for.

It has to be your isp using cached servers. I remember your previous thread. What isp are you using?

My isp is telefonica. I am in Spain. I was using a normal cheap-rate link to the net - these problems seemed to happen after I had adsl installed! Coincidence perhaps?

The only thing I can think of, is try another browser. Maybe Opera. When I had the same thing happening to me, it was AOL using the cached page. It drove me mad.

Switched to IE browser and it was fine.

yeah these kind of problems really drive mad. i realized in internet explorer using ctrl+r will reload the page completely even if it was cached.

I am keeping on - using all the suggestions I have had on this posting and the last.

It is terrible being a novice, isn't it?

And yet as I type this - one of three pages (the MOST important) has loaded after three hours.
