Need script for inserting links in articles

I have not been able to locate the script I need

We are just getting a new newspaper site started and I need to know what script to use to embed a link inside of an article.

I asked the server hosting the site for it and what they gave me did not work. Either something is missing from it or I didn't do something right.

Our previous site had a help area where it had the scripts listed and all I had to do was insert the information, but unfortunately, I no longer have access to that site.
Can someone give me a hand with this?

I'm an old fogey and my sites are "so 1990s" that I just use plain ol' HTML links. So I'm not familiar with using scripts to make links. What do you need the script to do?

Was about to say the same thing. Why do you need a script to insert a link? Is there something wrong with <a> href="http://example.com">Get Your Examples Here!</a>
