Here is my delima. I use to use Frontpage to make static web pages back when Win98 was released. I was just learning to use a few different things and get some basis under my feet. Remember these days? High speed internet was a second phone line with 56kpbs modem.
Now in this 'new-age' I was presented with the challange of building a WYSIWYG web site that will sell live animals. I am not sure on what steps I should take in beginning this expedition.
Some questions that I have right out of the box are:

1. Do I need to host this kind of site from my own server based on the content?

2. What would be the best way of designing this type of site with the past experience that I have?

Thank you for any help that comes from my pesters.

Hi Tripoli, and welcome to the forums. I would think that you will find it easiest to use a content management system that supports some kind of ecommerce module/add-on. There are tons of them available, some free, some not. So, you will probably need to try a few to see which ones will meet your needs and best fit your skills.

Check out the Content Usage and Management forum [webmasterworld.com] to get some ideas.

Good luck!
