Strange - and this has only just started to happen in the last month. When I send my updated webpages to FTP they indicate they have gone and all is well. Yet, when I log on to my site here at home the old pages still show and yet, on other pc's, the changes have been made. It was suggested to me I hit "shift and refresh" at the same time to see the new uploaded pages...sometime YES sometimes NO..any suggestions?

Rufus,

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com]!

From Control Panel or Internet Explorer Tools:
Internet Properties->Temporary Internet Files->Settings->Check for newer versions of stored pages: Automatically

Also, set your Temporary Internet Files folder to between 16MB and 64MB, and set your History to expire after a week or so - the default settings are rediculously large and long.

You may also want to consider finding out how to set up your server so that pages are served with appropriate expires and cache-control headers.

HTH,
Jim
