linking to major search engins

Can anyone tell me if im allowed to link to major search engines or major sites that are out there? like maybe use their logo and place a link to there site? do i have to ask for permission or can i just give them a link? thanks inadvanced

Use of logos is generally not permitted. Most SE offer API key solutions or even simple java scripts to implement a search function to your website that comes with a neat logo. Try that.

You can find these terms fairly easily by searching each SE you wish to link to.

For example, Google's logo use terms [google.com] are here.

Search engine links are a bit 1990s.

Google provide a search box linked to Adsense but I took mine out having never recorded a single click through it in six months.
