Find sites with my URL posted there

In the process of moving my site from the free hosting from the ISP, to a paid-for URL, I am trying to find all the sites which have my (soon to be) old URL link.

Google has this ability on their advanced search page, but Google does not recognize my site. The other search engines do, but they don't have that advanced search feature.

Any ideas how I can find those sites with my URL?

Thanks in advance.

Prefix a normal search on your domain name with link:
Try this in several search engines. G in particular has a reputation for only returning a subset of inbound links.

There will always be people who just don't do the redirect, however many times they are told. Keep a page on the old location as long as possible giving the address of the new site. Put a hit counter on it so that you can capture the sources of traffic.

Use linkdomain:youroldwebsite.foo on Yahoo!

If you have access to server logs or statistics, find all the referring pages and use them.

It is also a good idea to leave something where your site used to be. A simple page with a "We have moved" message followed by a redirect is the minimum you should do. It would be even better if you could re-write the address to go to your new site, although most free hosts do not allow this feature.

A static page set to "noindex, follow" linking to your new page will encourage people to update their bookmarks and links. Automatic redirection will end up staying in place for ever as people will have no incentive to change.
