I am going to be taking classes so that I can learn about web developing from the base up and want to take online classes. Is there any highly recommended schools or classes that anyone knows of? I appreciate your help.

Free tutorials and forums. Also, after reading a lot online browse real live bookstore shelves and pick a book or two up after perusing the organization, understandability and first of all the table of contents and whether they're giving theory or actual examples to learn from.

There's an out of print book by Dr. Ian Graham (Professor at Univ. of Toronto) which is the one I learned HTML from, and it's about $2 plus shipping through Amazon and still as good as it gets, also explaining a lot about how the different HTTP protocols, packets, etc. work.

One more option is to use *The Web Developer's Virtual Library" - various tutorials and tips on website development. Beginner friendly.
