Hi,

I setup a web server on one of my PC's. The server is working ok , on local network. My problem is that I can't access my web site when I'm connected to internet by : http ://www.mydomain.com . I'm on ADSL with dynamic IP. My site is registered to a service like dyndns. From other internet connection my site is visible, but not from my network. My ADSL modem is SpeedTouch 516. I have forwarded the port :80 .
Can somebody help my?

thanks

regards

alex

You need to make sure your router is allowing traffic using port 80. This is the port used by web traffic (http).

Have you tried accessing the site from outside your network, in a lot of cases it is simply not possible to access a site within your own network using it's full URL. This is because your are inside the network and the full URL is designed for requests from the internet or wider network.

Just out of curiosity, why are you self hosting?

Mack.
