I was trying to post in this topic [webmasterworld.com ]
but found it is closed. Please remove this post, if it is not suited here.

I have apllied thrice in three days and twice has been rejected. i have not recieved the third reply. The reviewer comment i have got, is very much helpful. But the only thing is that the URl i suggests is the home page. I wants to know, can I suggest deep links? and is it should be not listed in odp?

Thanks for your reply in advance

Before you apply anywhere for anything, it's best to read THEIR guidelines from cover to cover, and backwards, too.

Your brief post shows that you have not done your homework at all. They won't let you loose until you show that you can 'think like an editor'; the sites you suggest - and the way you suggest them - should match the category entries already there. Perfectly.

If you want to pass the exam, do the coursework.

Is English your main Language? If it is, you must work on your grammar.

The ODP, at least the part which only accepts websites crafted in English sets a very high standard for grammatic proficiency.

I am not certain that I would qualify

Sorry, marodhum, based on the small writing samples I've seen so far I don't believe you'd pass the English quality requirements for the ODP. I don't mean this in a nasty way but your English comes across as typical Indlish (Indian-English). Giveaways are "I suggests" (it's I suggest), "very much helpful" (much is extraneous, drop it) etc.

As someone from India myself I can understand it's frustrating when you believe your English is good and others perceive it as being inadequate for an editor position. On the plus side there are books that can help you iron out English/grammar mistakes typical on the Indian sub-continent.

"I suggests"
That was a silly mistake :(

Thanks Centime and Oddsod,
I will be careful and will double check everything before submit.

Or before submitting ;)

But, good luck with that.
