Problems with outsourced development team

Hello there,

About 3 months ago, I hired a team of web developers and programmers from Elance to create a website for me. Everything was going well in the first few months when we worked on the designs. However, after reaching the programming stage the team have been slacking off quite a bit. It is taking them forever to implement simple functionalities. I have even notice the past 2 weeks that they have not even made any noticeable changes to the website!

I am planning on implementing slight improvements to the website right after completion (if it ever reaches completion!) anyways, so should I just terminate this team and hire another team (hopefully better) to continue the work?

I don't know what to do at this point...

Did you call them? Changing a running team can be pricey, but it might be the only option if you want to continue.

Have you been in touch with them regarding this. One thing to note is when they are working on design the changes are very apparent, once they get down to programming the changes are not so noticeable.

When ever you hire contractors is is vital to make sure you have some form of contractual agreement before money changes hands.

To support Mack, I have to tell you that some minor changes on the design part may really be almost unnoticeable, so a talk on the problem is the best solution in the case definitely.
