I'm new to webmastering and Ive recently got my first site up and running. As would be expected on my first go I've made plenty of mistakes from start to finish, my biggest mistake being setting up a site in a niche that is already packed (recipes and cooking). However I'm getting a fair few visitors and the site is picking up so I don't want to lose it.

I've started work on a new site and it's nearly ready to go live. The problem I have now is that I've spent a lot on hosting the old site and don't realy want to spend that again. Can I set up 2 domains on the same hosting account?

If not does anyone know the cheapest domain name registrant and web hosting company?

It depends on the host. Different ones offer different limits on "addon" domains: what you're after, different sites housed in the same account space, and "parked" domains: different names which wind up at the same page.

My current host, for example, just changed from allowing 1 addon domain to 10. I can have unlimited parked domains. You can find tons of hosting companies which offer hosting for in the neighborhood of $6-7 per month when paid annually. You can find discount registrars to register a domain name for around $8 per year.
