Hi,
I am curiious about google and the other engines. I started my website on the 1st of January and submitted to every engine I could think of. I have seen that they all have crawled my site very soon after I submitted, But now it's been over a month and I am getting "No results found" on every keyword and every engine.

How long does it seem to take on average from the time they crawl til I get listed on a search?

Thanks for any answers.

:)

Hi insignia, welcome to the board

Basically this is different between the search engines.

The most important thing is to get links pointing to your new site.
Just adding a site per add url to the engines doesn't have much value.
First step in promoting a new site therfore is to get listings in directories. Some are free, many need to be paid for. Also try and get links from other sites in your field.

Also there are engines, where you can pay for inclusion, like INK, Fast, Altavista.

But getting links to your site is also important for better ranking. Almost any big engines today take linkpopularity into account.

>how long on average
Can only be answered on a case by case basis. What engines did crawl your site?
