Hello Rexator

Welcome to WebmasterWorld

Since you know frontpage you can do anything for the start.Just make your webpages in front page , add text to the webpages , all the links and make few web pages

then you can upload them on internet , you can use some free space providers or can buy for your own , very cheap these days

you dont need to worry about dreamweaver , its work same as frontpage

further forget about php , just start off with frontpage , or more better buy some html book along with and learn something about coding in html

it would be great start for you.

hi rexator! there is a lot of frontpage-bashing going on out there; personally, I think this is due to bugs in older versions from many years ago and a bad reputation that has built up since then; partly because some people regard microsoft as evil.

however, fp was created for people like you: somebody who might know how to use powerpoint or word and doesn't want to learn a great deal about html and basics. this, by the way, doesn't mean that fp users don't learn proper html.

i advise you to forget about php for the moment, set up a website following a free template and altering it with fp, and then get yourself some good books on html and maybe a bit of general webdesign.

always remember: plain is beautiful and the most efficient solution might not be the technically most sophisticated one.

goodl luck! w.
