It seems Blogburst the web syndicate (http://www.burstblog.com/) is a highly controversial subject. Whether we should syndicate our sites to Mass Media seems to be both a bad and good model.

Currently Blogburst doesn't compensate its contributors. Yes, they say a plan is in the offing. But nothing yet.

And members have suggested Blogburst's posting of full text entries depletes the link back to our blogs.

At moment, my understanding is that there are over a thousand members of Blogburst, of which I am one. Editors from various large print newspapers, e.g., Houston Chronicle, The Washington Post read over the entries and decide who's to be selected.

This is a trend no doubt. The whole syndicate theory. Web newspapers need content. And they don't pay the journalist for it. They want to get cheap content.

Can you shed any light on this? I have only recently become a member. So I'm waiting for results.
