My site has been up an running for real for about two months. My overall ranking is climbing well. I have quite a few link but not as many as I would like. Some of my positions on the se's are up to second page or better. My traffic is terrible, only 3-5 visitors per day, every day. I would think that you would get more than this by accident. I just need some suggestions to help a little. Like I say a site should get more than this by accident. And how can my ranking go up with no traffic increase. My adsense report shows 3-5 visitors and my hosting reports shows more. Any help? Thank you.

Hi Jaime,

You need to work and earn that traffic by building pages with significant and unique content. The more pages with content = the more keyword phrases you will have a chance for.

Don't forget that backlinks are even more important than content. Without people linking to you, it won't matter how good your content is, it will never get exposed. But to get backlinks your site needs to reach a minimum quality level to make people willing to link to you.

Your Adsense reports will show how many humans with java enabled browsers visited you. Your hosting report will show how many times your site was accessed by humans and/or automated programs (i.e. search engine spiders). I would recommend that you do not worry about Adsense until you have decent traffic. You should spend your time working on building new content everyday and gathering links. Good luck and check out the link development section here on WebmasterWorld.

"Don't forget that backlinks are even more important than content."

I'd say it's just the other way round, but in any case, be patient and work hard.

There's no easy way or trick to get traffic.

Good luck,

W.
