Site advertising

Having established my website and continually adding content, I have come to the conclusion that Im ready to kick start my traffic with some advertising.

I have tried Google Adwords in the past, but was unhappy with the return s on my investment. I am therefore asking what advertising methods you guys use and that work for you.

Please keep in mind that Im looking for quality of traffic over quantity. My website is design for returning surfers, not just one time visitors.

Did you carried out analysis why adwords falied to work for you, choice of keywords , broad exact match,landing urls,ads you show on landing urls does matter.just relook into these if you havent thought about these till now

you may also try other ppc programs if you feel google is not working , but its not worth to use those before carrying out some homework as said above
