Is it an effective keyword?

Hi,

I'm almost building my first website which I have entitled "webtips". I give tips on web-reated issyes ranging from web authoring to web marketing. It's definitely not a tutorial as I believe there are just too many around. What I want to know is that is it the appropriate keyword or do you think I should change it?

Try doing a search on overture - yahoo's keyword selector tool.
(Google - the irony of searching for a yahoo service on Google appeals to me - "yahoo keyword search" and it should be right at the top of the list.)

You can put in any word you like and see how many folks are searching for that phrase. A very useful tool - after all, if folks are searching for "accelerator" and you call yours "velocitator"? The traffic, not so much.
