Knowing it's a silly question maybe you could search Google with " How To Submit My Website To Google? "

[google.com...]

This link will take you to the add url page. However I would tend to not do that. Work on getting links pointing to your site. If you do that Google will find you.

Mack.

I routinely submit new sites via that form. Costs me 2mins and hasn't hurt so far.

Of course it's not the ONLY thing I do :-)

I just typed "submit URL to Google" and clicked search. There's probably a more technical way to do this but I'm still at the embarassing stage too, Caran

I never submit sites to Google or the other search engines. I just make sure at least one other site links to mine, and the engines find my sites on their own, immediately.

Hello, sewpersbider.
Although submitting the URL of your site can help, the most sure way to get indexed by Google is to have a link to your site from a site that is already indexed, and preferably from one that has a high reputation. Look for a site that has a high ranking in Google, and try to get a link from them.
Best regards.

I agree with MichaelBluejay. I subscribed my site to four web directories and got linked to them. My site is now listed well in Google; and its only 1-1/2 months old.

It's not instant! It might take a few weeks or more for Google to visit and index.

To see if they know about your site, search Google for site:yourdomain.com and see if you get any results.
