Yahoo Site Builder Problem

Really annoying

We've been using Yahoo site builder to run our website for a while now and not had any major problems, that is until we upgraded it to 2.2.3 a short while ago.

Now whenever we try to update our site, instead of just publishing the files we've changed (as per the button we click) it uploads the entire site!
This wouldn't be a problem but it's eating into our Broadband account! and ties up the computer for hours!

We've tried emailing Yahoo but can't get an answer, does anyone have any ideas? We can't work it out as the only thing that has changed is the upgrade to 2.2.3!

Is there a user forum for the program? If you're having this problem, you can bet others are, too, and maybe someone has gotten an answer for it. If there's no forum, is there possibly a Yahoo group where a lot of the users "hang out"?

I know it doesn't help much to say this now, but online site-builders that are limited to one host are generally low on the customer service scale (generally, because I can't say that there might not be some good ones somewhere). They often have few problems, but when you run into one of the few problems, it can be difficult to get help.

Cheers for the reply, we have had googled for any forums to do with yahoo site builder but as yet haven't had any luck.

Proving to be a big pain in the rear, we had a response from Yahoo saying to try uninstalling the program and re-installing it but this didn't seem to make any difference (had to leave the computer on again last night to publish updates!)they also suggested loading it onto a different computer ... we're stuck with that one as we only have one comp!

If you ever do find a Yahoo forum please let me know. I've looked also but was unable to find one. Even went so far as to tell them that they ought to start one. Never heard back.

I went into yahoo groups and searched for 'yahoo sitebuilder'. There are many groups that look good. Check them out at [groups.yahoo.com...]

I have had MAJOR Problems with Yahoo Site builder version 2.2.4 and thought about reverting back to version 2.2.3 I am using Windows XP with 1G ram and 2Ghz processor. However, I have a good copy of Version 2.2.2 I think it might be better to go with 2.2.2 and have something that works. I have done this and all seems better again. www.gooddealstreet.com In the meantime I will be waiting for version 2.2.5 and I will test it on a different machine before I upgrade. The purpose of this message is to let you know that I have placed ysitebuilder exe on my website for anyone how wants a copy. Please feel free to drop by and pick up a copy. Please run it through your virus scanner before you install it. If you have any problems or questions please let me know.
Instructions for the install. Go into Control panel and remove/delete yahoo sitebuilder. You must be online. Then run the 2.2.2 version. If you delete java this version will reload it for you (will take time with slower internet connection and you will have to be online anyway)

Sitebuilder is the debil. We tried it for one day and went back to Frontpage and hand coding where needed.

Yahoo Site Builder is crap and only useful for mom and pop one page websites. When you go for Yahoo Web hosting services, you must keep in mind that there is no customer care at Yahoo. They dont even reply.
