How are the internal page urls created?

I am in my first days of learning html. I have yet to see any instructions regarding the creation of urls. I know that my domain name will define the first page (and the first part of the others), but I keep wondering about the process for the rest of the pages.

Various threads here talk about the potential for problems if the urls aren't right.

Can someone point me to a source of information on this aspect of coding pages?

There is an excellent thread in the supporters forum called "101 Signals of Quality : Keywords in File Path"

Start with that. For a better answer than that we need to know if your pages are static or not.

Thanks Jbin,

Static Pages.

I used to have access to the supporters forum, but I let it lapse a while ago when my income dropped off. Hope to rejoin soon..

My prior experience was with CF (using a professional service to write the code). The URL issues that arose from that have made me quite wary of URL contents.

You know I can't disclose what's in there, but I construct my url's so they read well. That thread in the supporters forum has lots of better info.

OK. You have made the sale. I will see you "inside" soon.

Thanks again.
