Beware Joomla update 1.0.5

I noticed an odd decline in pageviews on my site after recently updateing my Joomla CMS system to 1.0.5, and finally this morning figured out what happened.

It seems the update reset some of the system controls to their default settings, including disabling SEO friendly URL's (instantly broke all of my backlinks)And erasing my sitewide meta description tags, replacing them with the default tags promoting Joomla.
