site disappearing and reappearing numerous times/hr

when i search yahoo for a certain search term i am always,always,always listed in the #4 spot which i think is great.when i switch the order of the words[same words different order]i am either listed #3 or not listed at all on any page-this happens numerous times per hour.some people have suggested that this is due to fluctuations in the listing but that doesn't seem logical if i'm always in the #4 spot when i search the first way mentioned.any help with this would be greatly appreciated.thanks,b.

Most SEs look for "best matches" in the order in which the user enters the term. So [same words different order] is a different search term than the original order.

It isn't always easy for a page to be highly ranked for every permutation. If you have enough copy to work with you can try switching order in the text, in subheads, in link text to other pages, or in link text to the target page.
